By donating to CSP, you help fund programs that directly support working artists-society’s catalysts for change. These programs provide resources for contemporary artists to thrive, opportunities for peer-to-peer collaboration, and advancement in the field of contemporary printmaking.
CSP is completely run by member volunteers and supported by direct donations and membership fees.
100% of all donations go directly to support programs, events and artist opportunities.
Your donation helps create connections within the print community on an international scale. Annually, artists worldwide are invited to contribute articles to The California Printmaker, enriching each issue with diverse perspectives in printmaking. Free access to our published journal is provided to the public digitally. Among our subscribers are The Bancroft Library, Stanford Libraries and The Library of Congress.
With your support, we mount a variety of CSP sponsored projects and exhibitions. These programs are integral to our mission to engage the public in the appreciation of printmaking and book arts through the exchange of creative ideas. Such projects are our portfolio exchanges with the Print Club of Rochester and Print Houston, current Printed & Stitched and upcoming Mono Variations exhibitions.
Your contribution supports fully funded residency opportunities for print artists, which enriches our arts ecosystem. Access to specialized printmaking facilities offers the chance to realize new projects that might not otherwise be possible. These experiences are crucial resources which help artists to move their work and careers forward. We've awarded 19 residencies with 6 residency hosts; 2 more are on the horizon!
Strengthen artistic innovation through your gift to CSP, as a way to support creative collaboration and launch new endeavors. This funding puts programming, which engages our membership and beyond, directly into the hands of inspired artists. These member-initiated projects build community across the country and foster skill-sharing. Projects are publicly presented with documentation archived in The Bancroft Library.
